October 11 was pastor and staff appreciation day with honorees Pastor and Mrs. Jarvis and Verne Philpot. Staff members honored were music leader Colonel Craighead and his assistants Ellen Vaughn and Spencer Gantt; pianist Peggy Creamer and her assistant Dorme Gantt; church hostess and event director, Kathy Craighead also assisted by Dorme Gantt; the cleanup committee, Leah Beasley; and the maintenance crew, Bill Gantt and Colonel Craighead.

The RMBC met their goal of 60 or more attendees for the Oct. 25 Great Day in the Morning, and the Dinner on the Grounds BBQ was a success with about 75 happy eaters. Thanks to Bill Gantt who smoked the BBQ in his pit, to Kathy Craighead who kept the kitchen going, to Sharon McGee for the PR, and to everyone who brought food and helped out.

On October 31, the RMBC sponsored a Noah's Ark party with about 35 children and adults participating in the games, ring toss, apple bobbing, cake walk, face painting, and all the great fun. Thanks go to the community and RMBC members who donated the cakes and candy, toys, and other items to support the party. Everyone, especially the neighborhood kids, had a great time.

Have you seen the new RMBC sign at the intersection of Round Mountain and Nameless? And, the RMBC now has a Prayer Hot Line. If you have prayer requests or prayer praises, call 267-1435. For info on church activities, call Pastor Philpot at 930-4805 or the church during service hours at 259-4744
